It's time for the weekly EPCCA Update, brought to you by Advantage Collision in Saskatoon and Prince Albert, The Family Shop that Cares, and Mack Auction Company, Saskatchewan's land and farm equipment auctioneers.

Great weather, great racing, and great fans attended the EPCCA Season Opener in St. Louis, and what a turnout it was. There were 51 chariots and 28 wagons gathered for the first race of our 55th year. After the dust settled, the results were as follows:

In the carts, Harold McCarthy took 5th place, Jeff Britton placed 4th, and Jeff Britton's second outfit took 3rd place. Ryan Peterson came in 2nd, and the Dash for Cash and Show winner was Colin Kilborn.

In the wagons, 5th place Gerald Constant, 4th place Joe Rybinski, 3rd Carol Hooge, 2nd Wayne Salmond, and the Dash for Cash and Show winner, Kain Salmond.

Congrats on great first rookie runs to Cory Richardson and Cauy Gareau, both generational drivers and ones to certainly watch in the upcoming years.

EPCCA has two Pro Event Tour stops coming up this weekend. The club heads to Archerwill for their first hosting of the year, as well as Melville, a co-joined show with the Manitoba Club.

For North America's Largest Chariot and Chuckwagon Association, I'm Lorelle Halderman.
