REGINA -- Injuries on the offensive line continue to pile up for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, but the hope is little will change when it comes to their success on the field when they take on the Edmonton Elks on Friday night.

Left guard Zack Fry was ruled out with a head injury in the latest injury report, and as a result University of Saskatchewan grad Noah Zerr will get the start when the teams kick off at 7 p.m. from Mosaic Stadium.

Zerr, who hails from Langenburg, dressed the last two weeks after suiting up in 10 games with the Riders in 2024. Third-year veteran Brayden Noll comes off the practice roster as an offensive line back-up.

The only other change to the Saskatchewan roster is as expected at running back, as rookie Mario Anderson returned to the team earlier this week and will slot in behind A.J. Ouellette. Anderson’s debut comes at the expense of Ka’Deem Carey, who suffered a serious knee injury against the B.C. Lions last week and has been moved to the six-game injured list.

Receiver Shawn Bane Jr. remains close to returning after practicing this past week as he recovers from a knee injury, but remains on the one-game injured list.

Things get underway Friday with Teagan Witko, Justin Dunk, and Wes Cates on the pre-game show at 4 p.m. Dave Thomas and Luc Mullinder have the game call at 7 p.m. You can hear our coverage live on radio and streaming on the 620 CKRM Co-operators Rider Broadcast Network.
