Saskatchewan Roughriders' quarterback Trevor Harris respects how Bo Levi Mitchell is playing at a high level in the 2025 CFL season.
"Always admired Bo from afar. Makes the game look easy, never gets sped up. His touchdown to interception ratio is as good as I've seen up here. He's done a tremendous job reinventing himself in terms of wanting to take shots and go push the ball down the field no matter what to taking what the defence gives him. When you find quarterbacks that can do that and take shots down the field, it becomes a problem," Harris said.
"So you can see that he's become a problem across the league. I have a lot of admiration and respect for Bo, but at the same time, I'm not going to be too worried about what he's doing in the game. I got to make sure that I'm operating our offence as best we can going against a really good defence."
The 35-year-old Mitchell has started nine games for the Tiger-Cats this season and completed 69 percent of his passes for 2,856 yards with 21 touchdowns and three interceptions.
The 39-year-old Harris has started seven games for the Green and White this season, and completed 75 percent of his passes for 2,183 yards with 13 touchdowns and four interceptions.
Riders' head coach Corey Mace has spent time with both quarterbacks in their career. Mace and Mitchell won two Grey Cups together with the Stampeders, the first in 2014 then later in 2018.
“Incredible amounts of respect. Personal opinion future Hall of Famers," Mace said about Mitchell and Harris. "To see them compete at a high level among their teammates, It'll be fun to take in for anybody who's coming to watch it."
“Having the time spent around both those guys, super competitive, they're going to do everything possible to push their team forward and have nothing but respect for both guys.”
Saskatchewan has already beaten Hamilton when the teams met for the first time in 2025 as the Riders won 28-23 in Week 2.
Last week the Riders were on a bye week and did not play.
"It felt like it was long. I was ready to get back to playing and so happy to be back here. But I got to spend some great time with the family, took the kids to a nice water park, had some fun and then I'm sure everybody saw us get to do the weather. Maybe doing something they can do in the future as a job instead of getting beat up in football," Harris said.

The last time the Riders came off a bye week this season, they lost 24-10 to the Calgary Stampeders in Week 6. According to voice of the Riders Dave Thomas, the Green and White are 2-2 coming off bye weeks in the last two years.
"Understanding the week of practice is the most important thing we have. The most important thing we have is our quick meeting after this to fine-tune the details of what we just did. The most important thing we do is recover our bodies and get a great night's sleep. Then tomorrow have the best meetings of the year, come out here and have the best practice of the year," Harris said.
"It's about us holding each other accountable because at this point we're going to be playing some tremendous teams in these next five weeks before our next bye. We've got to make sure that we have our pedal to the metal and our details down, because if not this season that everybody's talking about can turn really fast. But we've got a focused group, we're not worried about the negatives, we're thinking about where we can go positively from here."
