Moose Jaw Miller Express 9, Saskatoon Berries 8

The Moose Jaw Miller Express pulled off one of their most impressive wins of the season on Tuesday night, handing the Saskatoon Berries just their second home loss of the 2025 WCBL campaign with a hard-fought 9-8 comeback victory in front of a lively crowd of nearly 1,800 fans in the Bridge City.

Saskatoon looked poised for another dominant outing after racing out to an early 7-2 lead through the first three innings to quickly put the Miller Express on their heels.

But Moose Jaw didn’t back down. The visitors chipped away with three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings, tying the game at 8-8. In the top of the seventh, Thomas Soto delivered the decisive blow—a clutch RBI single that gave the Miller Express their first lead of the night, one they would not relinquish.

Soto finished the night with three hits, sharing the spotlight with teammate Eduardo Saenz, who also collected three hits in the win. Their offensive efforts were enough to overcome a shaky night defensively, as Moose Jaw committed five errors in the field.

For the Berries, Cooper Wesslund continued his strong season with a three-hit performance, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Saskatoon from dropping to 27-5 on the year.

The Berries will regroup with a day off Wednesday before traveling to face the Weyburn Beavers on Thursday. Meanwhile, Moose Jaw returns home for a high-stakes Trans Canada Clash against the Regina Red Sox on Wednesday night at Ross Wells Park.

Swift Current 57’s 1, Regina Red Sox 17

The Regina Red Sox wasted no time putting on a show for the home crowd Tuesday night, exploding for 10 runs in the first two innings on their way to a commanding 17-1 win over the Swift Current 57’s at Currie Field.
The victory moved the Red Sox above .500, improving their season record to 17-15.

Regina’s offence came out swinging, knocking Swift Current ace Adam Korte out of the game after just one inning. Korte allowed eight runs on seven hits, as the Red Sox lineup batted around and took control early. The onslaught continued into the second inning, and by the end of the night, Regina had collected 17 hits as a team.

Leading the offensive outburst for Regina was Rafael Jackson, who had a career performance at the plate. He went 5-for-6, including a double, a triple, and four runs scored, while also swiping his 11th stolen base of the season.

On the mound, Colton Bank got the start for Regina and pitched four solid innings, giving up just one run on six hits while striking out four. The win, however, went to Zander Oudie-Senger, the Regina product who impressed in relief with four scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out four.

Medicine Hat Mavericks 19, Weyburn Beavers 5

The Medicine Hat Mavericks delivered one of their most dominant performances of the season on Tuesday night, overwhelming the Weyburn Beavers in a 19-5 blowout at Athletics Park.

The Mavericks' offence was firing on all cylinders, pounding out 15 hits, including home runs from Jeremy Freeman Jr., Aaron Vulcano, and Evan Morrison.

On the mound, Xander Roberts turned in a solid performance, allowing two runs on six hits over six innings, while striking out six. The win improves his record to 4-1 on the season.

Weyburn starter Ian Heck struggled through 4.1 innings, surrendering 11 runs, though only five were earned, as the Beavers committed a costly eight errors.

The two teams will square off again on Wednesday night as the Mavericks look to complete the series sweep at home.
