Regina Red Sox 4, Weyburn Beavers 3
The Regina Red Sox improved to 16-15 on the season with a dramatic 4–3 comeback win over the Weyburn Beavers on Monday at Tom Laing Park.
Down a run in the ninth, Jordan Tucker tied the game with a sacrifice fly before Jalen Seward drove in Rafael Jackson with the go-ahead RBI single.
Colton Anderson started strong for Regina, tossing six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts and four hits in a no-decision. Tyler Fortin picked up the win, and Nicolas Yard secured the save with a shutout ninth.
The Red Sox are back in action Tuesday night at Currie Field, hosting the Swift Current 57’s at 7:05 p.m.
Moose Jaw Miller Express 3, Saskatoon Berries 4
After having their 11-game win streak snapped and suffering their first home loss of the season on Saturday, the Saskatoon Berries bounced back with two straight victories — the latest a 4–3 walk-off win over the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Monday night.
Ethan Murdoch delivered the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth with a clutch double that brought home Cooper Wesslund, moments after Cory Wouters tied it with his sixth home run of the season in the eighth.
Moose Jaw took an early lead with three runs in the third, led by Ben Waliczek, who went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Tanner Hosick earned the win for Saskatoon, tossing two scoreless innings with one strikeout.
The league-leading Berries will host the Miller Express again Tuesday night in Saskatoon.
