Medicine Hat Mavericks 5, Saskatoon Berries 7
The Saskatoon Berries capped off their dominant 2025 Western Canadian Baseball League regular season with a 7-5 win over the Medicine Hat Mavericks on Monday afternoon at Cairns Field, finishing with a league-best 46–9 record.
Despite resting most regular position players, Saskatoon cruised with the help of six affiliate players.
Outfielder Jalen Freeman, one of the few regulars in the lineup, hit a home run and drove in three runs to lead the way for the Berries.
The WCBL playoffs begin Wednesday. The Berries will host the Moose Jaw Miller Express in a best-of-three East Division semifinal, while the Mavericks head home to face the Regina Red Sox.
Moose Jaw Miller Express 9, Regina Red Sox 4
The Moose Jaw Miller Express closed out the 2025 regular season with a 9–4 win over the Regina Red Sox on Monday night at Currie Field, claiming the final Trans-Canada battle of the regular season.
Tanner DeGrazia and Austin Gurney paced Moose Jaw’s offense with three hits each, as the visitors used a three-run fourth inning and a four-run ninth to secure their 27th win of the season. Regina ends the regular season at 29–27.
Rafael Jackson had a standout night for the Red Sox, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases.
In total, the teams combined for 27 hits in the regular season finale.
Weyburn Beavers 7, Swift Current 57’s 5
The Weyburn Beavers closed out their 2025 WCBL campaign on a positive note, earning a 7–5 victory over the Swift Current 57’s at Mitchell Field.
Ian Heck, Ryan Dauphinee, and Owen Mayencourt each went deep for Weyburn, who wrapped up the season with a 16–40 record.
Starter Connor Nipp picked up the win, tossing five solid innings and allowing just two runs on seven hits while striking out six.
With the loss, the 57’s finished their season at 10–46.
