The Regina Red Sox are back on Saskatchewan soil after a tough Alberta road swing, where they managed just one win in four games against the Brooks Bombers and Okotoks Dawgs.
Last night’s game in Moose Jaw was washed out due to rain, but the Sox won’t have to wait long to get back on the diamond—they’ll square off with their trans-Canada rivals tonight in a makeup game to launch another packed week of action.
The Sox have a busy stretch ahead, starting with a swing through Medicine Hat and Lethbridge and a Friday night rematch with the Mavericks.
The weekend promises plenty of action at Currie Field, with back-to-back doubleheaders on tap. The Sox will face the Weyburn Beavers in three contests before wrapping up the homestand with a Sunday night showdown against the Swift Current 57’s.
With a 22-18 record, the Red Sox sit third in the East Division, trailing the first-place Saskatoon Berries by 11.5 games as the regular season enters its final weeks.
